Each year the Boarding Schools’ Association (BSA) celebrate the achievements, hard work and dedication of schools and individuals with the Boarding Schools’ Association Supporting Excellence Awards.
This year, we are delighted to announce that we have been nominated as one of the three finalists in the Boarding House Extension or Refurbishment Award category. Following our extensive refurbishment of St Margaret’s, the entry highlighted the sustainability, use of space and innovation that the renovation incorporated, as well as before and after photographic comparisons which show how the boarding house has been updated.
In addition, Alice Chew (Fifth Form) submitted her photography portfolio for the Khadija Saye Photography Award category and has also been selected as a finalist. The photographs submitted by Alice were taken as part of her GCSE Photography course in which she was able to capture her experience during the pandemic as a boarder, with her family home being in Hong Kong. Alice took photos in both England and Hong Kong, with techniques such as reflections, night shoots and various viewpoints. Good luck Alice!
Winners of all awards will be announced at the Annual Conference for Heads, on Wednesday 4th May. The final shortlist can be found here: https://www.boarding.org.uk/2022/04/20/finalists-announced-for-bsa-supporting-excellence-awards-2022/
