Last Friday saw the return of a fabulous community event in the life of SVPS; our annual Bonfire Night and Fireworks display. It was wonderful to see so many children and parents in attendance, as well as a first visit to SVPS for Mr Watkins’ latest addition, Benjamin, who was born just before half term. Fortunately, he slept through most of the event!
Look at these incredible ‘guys’ that were entered into the SVPSPA competition – the parents were so impressed that they declared everyone a winner!
Special thanks go to the SVPSPA who worked tirelessly to bring this event together, as well as a number of SVPS staff, who helped ensure that everything ran smoothly: Mrs Hawkins came in representing the Scouting group she also came in early as an SVS team member to ensure the food was cooked and BBQ was sorted; Mr Betts organised all the usual items such as gazebos, pavilion power, toilet access, keys for gates, etc; Mrs Vicary sorted the final parts when Mr Betts was off and Miss Betts made sure the lighting generator and lights arrived safely and sorted the handover of the all-important keys and other items in Mr Betts’ absence.
