Girls in Year 4 were invited to take part in some Netball training games at Dulwich Prep School last Thursday, ahead of the Netball season starting in January. Not only was it their first Netball match of the academic year, but it was also their first time ever playing ‘Bee Netball’ rules. Bee Netball is England Netball’s fun, high-energy and nurturing programme for children at the beginning of their team sport journey. It is designed to introduce children to Netball skills: throwing, catching, footwork and shooting.
The girls were so excited to play and despite the cold, wet weather, they got stuck in and played their socks off! Winning two games and drawing one! In total, across the three games, 12 goals were scored and only four conceded! What a super start to their netball season! Mrs Colwell, Mrs Cotton, Mrs Jacobs and Mrs Skelly are very excited to see what’s in store for our netballers in 2023!
