William Ervine (Lower Sixth) reports on the apprenticeship trip he attended last week:
Last week, a number of Lower Sixth students visited the University of Kent, Canterbury, to discover opportunities and prospective courses that were being offered by universities such as Canterbury Christchurch and Royal Holloway, London. These universities offered apprenticeship courses ranging from agriculture to medicine as well as computer science and languages.
Students were given the chance to speak with experts and former candidates from the different universities to discuss future pathways beyond Sutton Valence School. The event came to an end with students from various schools gathering in a lecture theatre to gain a better insight into the world of apprenticeships.
