This week, children in Reception were visited by Doctor Amanda, who provided an excellent end to their topic on Scientific Investigations. She spoke about hand hygiene and keeping the germs away and the children discovered that counting to twenty was the best amount of time to get their hands super clean. Doctor Amanda also used her bug detector to show Mrs McInerney where the germs were hiding on her hands.

After half term, they will be embracing a new topic, travelling to new places and learning about their customs. They will also be ordering and comparing numbers to 20 and looking at words with the ‘ay’ and ‘ee’ phonetic sounds.
