Year 4 has been a star act in Art and Design Technology; designing and making their own theatres and characters from our superstar lockdown material…cereal boxes! After an architecture lesson in appreciating the origins of drama and early Ancient Greek amphitheatres and masks, Year 4 cut and decorated their theatres to highlight their chosen theme.

From backdrops, hanging imagery, props and card characters stuck onto sticks, the children transformed ordinary boxes into magnificent theatres. The stage was set and it was drama time. Year 4 took to the virtual stage and performed their mini-plays with enthusiasm, pizzazz and even some special effects!
