About SVS
Sutton Valence School is a co-educational day and boarding school for ages two to 18, spread across two rural sites in the heart of the Kent countryside. Starting in Little Lambs Nursery, our youngest cohort begins their educational journey by learning through play. Our highly qualified Nursery staff encourage reading, writing and language skills to develop, whilst offering a safe, nurturing environment. Making use of our fantastic on-site facilities, including lots of green space, mud kitchens, sensory gardens, sports fields and playgrounds – wellies are a must on the uniform list!
Our Preparatory School runs from Reception through to Year 6. Our focus is to prepare our children for their next steps, shaping them into well-rounded, confident individuals who accept the myriad of opportunities given to them as they progress through their younger years. We take pride in our capacity to cherish each child for who they are, whilst at the same time encouraging them to raise their expectations of themselves in order to achieve their true potential. We prepare our pupils, not only for our Senior School, but also for leading Kent grammar schools. They leave as tenacious, articulate, compassionate and open-minded individuals, prepared for the next stage of their learning journey.
Our Senior School, from First Form (Year 7) up to Sixth Form, offers an excellent education, in terms of academic stretch, enrichment activities and leadership opportunities. Students continue to grow their confidence to enhance their character, as they prepare for their adult lives. We are proud of our greatest strength here: our community. This ensures that, whilst our students have an abundance of academic, sporting and co-curricular choice throughout their journey, they feel supported, guided and informed with each choice they make. Our award-winning Careers department and dedicated staff ensures that each student leaves SVS with a positive, clear direction for their future.
