Maidstone Charity Swim Relay

24 Mar 25

Congratulations to everyone who took part in the Maidstone Charity Swim Relay on Sunday at Maidstone Leisure Centre. Teams of four to six swimmers were challenged to swim as many lengths as possible in 20 minutes. This year’s event saw a great turnout, with 43 teams, including local organisations such as Kent Police, Sharon’s Swim School, Maidstone Disability Swimmers, Maidstone Harriers and Maidstone Swimming Club. Altogether, an impressive total of 1,903 lengths were swum, covering 29.73 miles.

Our Prep School teams swam an amazing 156 lengths across their three teams. The Senior School team, featuring Lydia H (Fourth Form), Marcus R (Lower Sixth), Willow G (Third Form) and George S (Fifth Form), swam 71 lengths and placed 3rd overall. Hot on their heels, the second team – George F (Fourth Form), Abigail M (First Form), George M (First Form), Ruaridh H (Second Form), Tobi G (Second Form) and Alice W (Second Form) – clocked 63 lengths, while the staff team swam 61 lengths.

We are thrilled to announce that we have raised over £800 for Demelza. A heartfelt thank you to all the parents, staff and students who gave up their time on a Sunday to participate, and to everyone who supported this fun event.
