On Friday, the whole School came together for the annual Baton Race, a tradition dating back to 1933. Originally run over a cloverleaf course through the school and village, today’s race takes place within the school grounds but still includes tough uphill stretches and long straights.
With Houses competing across Junior, Intermediate and Senior races, students gave it their all, passing the baton and cheering their teammates on. The atmosphere was filled with fun as everyone gathered at Prefects’ Lawn for the final results from Headmaster Mr Thomas.
Billie and Tess, the youngest members of the SVS community, presented the trophies to the winning Houses.
Well done to all our runners for their determination, teamwork and House spirit. A fantastic way to end the Term.
