On Friday the boarding community came together to take part in a Charity Touch Rugby tournament and Dragon Curry evening prior to watching the opening match of this year’s Six Nations, Wales vs France. The evening was in aid of the Bliss, supporting premature and sick babies.
Boarders from St Margaret’s House, Sutton House and Westminster House participated in the tournament putting on some outstanding rugby. It was excellent to see boys and girls new to rugby get involved, whilst players from all age groups made up teams. Senior pupils led their teams incredibly well and ensured younger peers played pivotal roles in teams.
Teams were called franchise names and it was the Sharks, led by Lower Sixth Former, Nicholas S, who were victorious, winning the inaugural Dragon Trophy!
The evening raised £300 for Bliss. Thank you to all those who supported the evening, it was a fantastic occasion, enjoyed by all.
