An annual end of term tradition, this year’s whole School Baton Race was won by Holdgate for Seniors, Founder’s for Inters and Lambe’s for the Juniors. On Thursday, SVS hosted the Kent U16 seven-a-side tournament which saw twenty of the top rugby playing schools embark on a hotly contested competition. The SVS team fought hard, with the highlight of their day being a last minute try to beat Hayes School 19-12, but it was Chislehurst and Sidcup Grammar School who were the team of the day, playing some magnificent sevens, beating The Judd School 17-10 in the final. The sun shone on what was an excellent day of rugby sevens at SVS.
