Thank you to all those parents who have completed the survey so far. I understand from RS Academics that about a quarter of our parents have so far completed the survey. We are, of course, hoping that most of you will do so in the end. Once again, it is an anonymous survey so please do let us have candid and constructive feedback when it is convenient. The survey closes on Wednesday 22nd February.

Perhaps somewhat dangerously bearing in mind the first paragraph, please can I also remind our parents about driving safely and considerately, especially on the School site and on the surrounding roads? Unfortunately, I have had a couple of calls this week from our neighbours on Chart Road about parents driving too fast, especially in the morning. I have also had to speak to a couple of parents on the School site about reducing their speed on the driveway. In contrast, thanks to the efforts of everyone, the parking seems to be a little bit easier and there is less idling of vehicles too, for which we are all grateful. Whilst on the subject of safety, the whole school also practised a fire drill today with the new muster point being on the lawn by the School House; if parents were ever to be on site when the alarm went off, this is also where you would congregate.

The latest Parent Consultation Group took place at the end of last week, with the minutes soon to be shared. Not only did the group hear more about how we are reviewing the driveway, but we also discussed a range of topics, most notably food and communication; in fact, they are to thank for the Newsletter now having highlighted phrases to help parents to navigate my weekly update. Thank you as always to all of the parents who take part in this group.

Thank you too to the SVPSPA for a fabulous quiz at the end of last week. The event was brilliantly organised, hosted, compered and catered for and the staff team was delighted with mid-table anonymity, including the intriguing insight that few of us had any idea about the current affairs of the last two weeks; we are all blaming working too hard!

Well done to the Year 6 musicians who played in the concert last week; tonight is the turn of our Year 5 musicians. I hope parents will also have enjoyed the Book Share event for children from Reception up to Year 6 by the time they read this.
