Much of what happens in the CCF is behind ‘closed doors’; whether in a wood, on a ship or in the air. Remembrance is different. The CCF is at the forefront of the events with the Sutton Valence School Standard, and, as the nominated standard bearers of the Sutton Valence Branch of the Royal British Legion, we proudly carry their standard on their behalf.

It is a proud moment for me, as Contingent Commander, to see the officers and cadets giving up their time on a Sunday to join in the Remembrance Parade at Sutton Valence and also at East Sutton and Chart Sutton and I would like to thank them all.

I would like to thank Major Prem Ale in his last outing as Parade Marshall, and the four senior cadets of the contingent – WO Davis, RSM Woods, FS Dolan and CWO Davis, with special thanks to Tobias Butler (Upper Sixth) who played the Last Post at all of the services.
