Our Year 3 children have been boosting their confidence in P4L. They have been nurturing their self-esteem by identifying what makes them unique and special. The children described confidence as a feeling, using words such as: doing things for yourself, being brave, not being nervous, kind and helpful.
Confidence is the belief that you are capable, it means you can learn from mistakes and believe that you can face life’s challenges and succeed. The children embraced confidence as being like a muscle, something that can be grown and strengthened. A power that can be nurtured to be the best, boost self-belief and keep trying.
Identifying their confidence enabled them to focus on their inner strengths, embrace their individuality, celebrate differences and depict themselves as superheroes.
Confidence is loving yourself!
