Third Form Mathematics students ventured into a world of trade on Saturday. The aim of the task was to have made the most money by the end of the lesson using the materials given and the powers of bargaining.

Each group was given different packs to represent the world’s trading scenario – cash rich, resource rich and natural resource rich and from this pupils had to make and sell their shapes.

To add a twist to the task, the scenarios kept changing, so one moment blue paper was worthless and the next any shapes traded on blue paper were worth double value.

An enjoyable but frantic time was had by all with the overall winners being Angus Brown, Daniel Petersen and Samuel Chapman.
