An annual end of term tradition, this year’s whole School Baton Race was won by Holdgate for Seniors, Founder’s for Inters and Lambe’s for the Juniors. Registration for the Benenden Tennis Tournament 2022 is now open! This is an annual event, which raises money for local charities and is run and funded by volunteers and supporters.
The junior tournaments are open to players from eight to 18 of all abilities with Boys’ and Girls’ Doubles taking place on Thursday 28th July and Mixed Doubles on Friday 29th July.
There will also be a tea tent with lots of delicious homemade cakes, a sweet shop, WOW cooking (offering barbecue food) and COFFEE Buzz offering great coffee, hot chocolate and juices. Additionally, there will be the hugely popular children’s raffle with lots of excellent prizes to be won.
In 2020 and 2021 (despite the challenges of COVID) the tournaments raised over £13,000, which was distributed to our charities locally – these included: Hastings Food bank, Macmillan Cancer Support, The Kent Autistic Trust and many more.
