An annual end of term tradition, this year’s whole School Baton Race was won by Holdgate for Seniors, Founder’s for Inters and Lambe’s for the Juniors. Our Year 3 children saw an artistic twist this week in their Science lessons! Inspired by their recent trip to Hole Park, the children explored the different plants and flowers around the School and took photographs of their favourites. Back inside the classroom, they reimagined them onto paper, using their choice of art medium and colour.
Here at SVPS, we are very lucky to have such beautiful surroundings and this activity allowed the children to explore, express and recreate the beauty of the nature around us. Our fabulous floral pieces and photographs can be viewed in the wonderful pop-up gallery in the Bates Hall.
