Our Year 5 pupils have embraced their Beatrix Potter inspiration and created animal portraits fit for a novel! After drawing observational sketches from close-ups of their chosen animal, the children added an outfit.
From military attire, suits and frocks to bow ties and camo, they all created a unique personality for their animal. Next, egg boxes were carefully cut and transformed, with paints, to create relief animal artworks. Finally, they were framed to formally capture their character. Now, the egg box animal portraits will proudly grace the walls of the gallery, giving everyone who views them the opportunity to imagine the stories of their animal character lives.
