The Easter holidays proved a very busy time for some of our Hockey players.

The England Hockey National U16 Tier 2 Plate Final saw Marden Russets play Havant at Cambridge University on Sunday 3rd April. After a hard-fought match, unfortunately, they were not able to overpower the stronger U16 team from Havant and finished as runners-up for 2022. The Marden Russets team included many girls from SVS: Olivia Farrell (Fifth Form) who captained the team, Katie Henley (Fifth Form), Lettice Allchorne (Fourth Form), Mathilda Featherstone (Fourth Form), Darcy Hanna (Fourth Form), Rosalie Parsons (Fourth Form) and special mention to Rachel Farrell (Third Form) who played three years up! Well done girls.

The England Hockey National U14 Tier Cup competition saw Knole Park play Beeston, with a convincing 7-1 win. The team included Evie Smith (Third Form), who captained the team and Elizabeth Burden (Third Form).

It is fantastic to see so many SVS players, especially as both team captains were girls from the School. We couldn’t be prouder, congratulations!
