This year’s Year 6 pupils are literally reaping the rewards from last year’s super effort, having grown a bumper crop. There is still more to come, as we are still nurturing our sweetcorn and leeks. The pupils are now in the process of preparing the soil to grow some winter vegetables. The biggest winners of course, are our resident guinea pigs; they have been feasting for weeks now on fresh lettuce, cabbage and one or two enormous carrots! The children were surprised to learn that carrots could be purple in colour, making them even healthier to consume.
