In Year 6 French this week, lessons have been all about numbers: numbers to 100 with a focus on revising multiples of ten. An excellent way to remember numbers is by playing games, and 6S enjoyed a number of these during their French lesson. We started with an elimination game of ‘Multiples of Five’ and ended the lesson with a very lively ‘Bingo’ session – ‘Lotto’ in French. Once the children had completed their lotto cards, they had to ensure that they had indeed selected the correct numbers. Their lotto cards were marked in pairs, with one pupil reading out their numbers and their partner double-checking them.
The children agreed that, by the end of their lesson, they all felt much more confident about knowing the multiples of ten up to 100.
