The Cold War came to Kent on Monday as two groups battled taxing puzzles to discover the codes to stop an imminent nuclear attack. Dover Castle was the backdrop to the day and after investigating the World War Two tunnels, pupils were split into teams of five to face the escape room. Both teams did fantastically well and used their knowledge of the Cold War to help them unravel the mystery. The first team completed the task in 42 minutes and were quite confident their time was unbeatable. However, the second team took the victory by minutes, thanks to the anagram-solving abilities of Theo Dransfield.
