Congratulations to two members of our Fourth Form on their places at this season’s U15 South England Hockey Performance Centre. Rose Price successfully progressed to the Centre, following a trial last summer, where she will join Jonte Hillier who retains his place at the Centre, having been selected last year.
Rose and Jonte attend fortnightly training sessions in Tonbridge, where they train with other specially selected players from the surrounding counties. This is the next step on England Hockey’s performance pathway, following representation for Kent.
We wish every success to Rose and Jonte for the season, as they now look to gain a place in the South East Squad, otherwise known as Saxon Tigers, for next summer’s Future’s Cup tournament.
Good luck must also go to those players who will be attending Kent trials between now and Christmas in the hope of gaining a place in their respective age group squads, following five weeks of training at their local development centre.
