Last Friday, two members from the a cappella octet, VOCES8 visited us to work with the Chamber Choir.  Together, they practised one of the songs that they will be performing at the Foundation Concert in London, next term.  The focus was on achieving accurate harmonies, crisp annunciation and precise timing.  They then moved on to write the second verse of their own composition, on the theme of the environment, our carbon footprint and conservation.  We are very much looking forward to VOCES8 returning in January, to continue with preparations for the Foundation Concert; this will give our more able choristers the opportunity to sing alongside other choirs from the schools in the United Westminster and Greycoat Foundation.
