On Wednesday, the annual inter-section Drill competition took place. The three teams, from the Navy, Army and RAF, had been practising their routines since the beginning of term. The routines cover an inspection, static drill and finish with a demonstration of marching drill. The captain of the team is required to give all the commands from memory.
The competition was judged by Captain Pun of 320 Medical Services and we are grateful to him for giving up his time. He was suitably impressed with the standard of drill on display from all of the teams.
Congratulations to the three team captains, Oliver Bartleet, Edward Marsh and Yves Davis, for remembering the commands, organising practices and leading their respective teams.
The overall winner of the 2019 Sutton Valence School CCF inter-section drill competition was the team from the RAF section.
