Cardboard, colour, composition, creativity and Cantrell were the ingredients for Year 4’s art. Kimmy Cantrell is an artist who creates clay mask sculptures that are colourful, bold, asymmetrical and sport his signature touch…large red lips! It was Cantrell’s creations that inspired Year 4’s mask designs.
Compositions that combined geometric shapes and patterns decorated their mask drawings, along with bright, vivid colours. Cardboard, our favourite lockdown material, was cut, layered and recycled into creative, eye-catching relief masks. Finally, they added large splashes of colour to complete their magnificent masks!
