An annual end of term tradition, this year’s whole School Baton Race was won by Holdgate for Seniors, Founder’s for Inters and Lambe’s for the Juniors. Our Fourth Form Design Technology students designed bespoke tote bags using CAD-CAM during their Field Day. These bags were designed using Adobe Illustrator and created with a CNC vinyl cutter.
Students gained knowledge of a new software package, which is commonly used in the Graphic Design industry, alongside the workings and control mechanisms of a vinyl cutter.
There were some truly innovative and high-quality outcomes in the students’ work. Mr Kirk and Miss Latter were extremely impressed by the student’s enthusiasm and commitment throughout the day of activities.
