An annual end of term tradition, this year’s whole School Baton Race was won by Holdgate for Seniors, Founder’s for Inters and Lambe’s for the Juniors. In time honoured fashion, winning Houses were presented with their trophies by the youngest members of the SVS community. 🏃🏽♀️ https://t.co/5Ag0X9o3FF
The Second Form took part in a competitive and action-packed day, learning valuable leadership skills. Whilst on-site, the students were split up into tribes and they learned how to set up and use trangias, which are portable stoves.
They all successfully boiled water to make hot chocolate, complete with marshmallows. Pupils also played team-building games; they had to find a successful and explosives-free route through a ‘minefield’, as well as guiding each other through a makeshift obstacle course whilst blindfolded.
