Created in the first lockdown, our Japanese Club students are immersing themselves in Japanese culture. Elliot Gooding (Upper Sixth) has written a report of what they are learning:

‘Konnichiwa!

Japanese Club started in the first lockdown and I have been a member since the first time we started our online Virtual Journeys. Initially starting as a fun pastime on a Friday afternoon, I have grown to really enjoy Manning-sensei’s enthusiasm to teach an interesting new language. From online learning of the language to cooking yakisoba when we returned to school before Christmas, I have learnt about the culture, language and cuisine of the Japanese. It has been thoroughly enjoyable and I highly recommend others to sign up! Here are a few clips of us students speaking some Japanese we have learnt.
