This week, we celebrated British Science Week at SVPS. Due to current restrictions, we could not have a visiting scientist this year but we still managed to have heaps of fun!
Each form spent one of their Science lessons doing a super STEM-related activity. Year 5 also had the opportunity to gain their Bunsen Burner Licence after successfully evaporating the water from a sugar and water solution. You can imagine their surprise when the sugar turned into delicious caramel!
Lily M (Year 3) shared her ‘Spy-Spider’ with us this week. She enjoyed her work so much that she decided to build a 3D model of it! I am sure you will agree that we have a budding scientist in the making…who knows, perhaps even a special agent!
Well done to all our inquisitive SVPS scientists. As Albert Einstein once said, “The important thing is to never stop questioning!”
