We are delighted that inter-school sport returns this Saturday for our pupils with Girls’ Tennis against Epsom College, Girls’ Cricket against Hurstpierpoint College and Boys’ Cricket against Sevenoaks School and Yardley Court respectively. Please read the full details below, provided by Mr Howell, Director of Sport, regarding spectators and kit requirements this term.
“I am afraid spectators will not be permitted at sports fixtures hosted at SVS at the present time. This is in line with the most recent National Governing Bodies/Government guidance following Step 2 of the National Roadmap on 12th April. This advice and guidance with regards to spectators is also the case at opposition schools whom we are playing this weekend. This guidance around spectators is to be reviewed at Step 3 of the National Roadmap on 17th May. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.
Please may we ask that students who are participating in Boys’ Cricket on Saturday afternoon come into School wearing their Cricket whites with an SVS hooded top in case of chilly weather? If players from other sports can attend School as normal in SVS tracksuits with their playing kit underneath, I would be grateful.
Lastly, with the warmer weather hopefully about to arrive, please may I ask that all students have their own water bottles and sun cream on hand for personal use during all lessons and sporting fixtures?
Thanks for your support of sport at SVS.”
Mark Howell, Director of Sport
