What could be better than blue skies, sunshine and a School full of happy, busy children? It has been such a joy to see pupils of all ages learning and playing in our most glorious setting and they certainly know how to make the most of both the space and the sunshine!
In our beginning of term assembly, I enjoyed showing the School a clip of this year’s Grand National. It was a truly exciting race from beginning to end but, of course, all of the jockeys that took part would be able to talk of the numerous falls they have had over the years (some people say you have to fall 100 times before you can call yourself a jockey!). This links, of course, with this term’s focus on ‘bouncing back’ as we consider the importance of learning from our mistakes and getting back into the saddle when things haven’t gone to plan.
Two children who always impress with their willingness to help others to get back up after they have fallen are our new Head Boy, Aaryan H, and Head Girl, Clementine B. They were announced in our assembly today, along with a new body of prefects. Congratulations to all of those selected; we know they will make a valuable contribution to many aspects of School life and they will relish the leadership opportunities their new roles provide for them.
