This term, Year 5 has been exploring life – more specifically, animal lifecycles. They have researched the gestation period of a variety of animals, including human beings. Some were quick to spot an interesting pattern; the smaller the animal, the shorter the gestation period. This would explain why elephants have to carry their babies for up to 22 months!
Continuing on from our research, the children also presented their information in neatly drawn bar charts. For homework last week, our explorers had to find out more about themselves. Why they look a little bit like their mum or dad? Have they inherited any talents from them? Some children also managed to find some little mannerisms or traits they share with other family members.
A super term’s work, Year 5; just look at their wonderful research!
