Despite almost all examinations being cancelled in the summer, the Cambridge English international examinations were able to go ahead. In June, a small group of international students travelled to Broadstairs to sit either the Cambridge English First Certificate or Cambridge Advanced Certificate.
All students passed the examinations, with Angelina Ibrahim and Florentina Schmitz (both last year’s Lower SIxth) achieving A and B grades respectively in the Advanced Certificate. These were exceptional results as Florentina had been studying with us for just one term. Josef Ibrahim (last year’s Fourth Form) and Alice Chew (Fifth Form) achieved B and C grades respectively in the Cambridge First Certificate.
After the hard work of the examination, the students were able to relax with a stop at Morelli’s. Alice said, “I am so pleased I passed the exam as I found it really challenging. The highlight was having an ice cream on the beach afterwards! A huge thank you to Miss Manning who prepared us for the exam and took us to Broadstairs to sit the exam”.
