As we approach half term, we thought it would be useful to share with you how we are responding to the latest Covid related challenges. Firstly, we would like to thank you for all that you are doing to support us by encouraging your children to complete the twice-weekly lateral flow tests (LFT).
All that we would therefore ask is that you also encourage your children to record the result of their test on the school system via SVEP.
Whilst there are numerous, conflicting articles about how you should respond to contact with a positive case, the below protocol is that of the School: If a member of your household tests positive, the pupils affected should stay at home until they have received a negative PCR test result. If your child has come into contact with a positive test result at School, they should simply carry out a LFT. Should they subsequently develop symptoms, then they should stay at home until they have received a negative PCR test result.
Thank you for your support.
