Throughout November, seven of our Sixth Form students will be completing a Movember-style challenge to raise money for UWS Hile School, which is in Gulmi province of Nepal. Representing our seven Houses, seven of our Upper Sixth students started November cleanly-shaven, and are letting their mo’ grow, in an attempt to raise as much money as they can!

About Hile School:

UWS Hile School, which is in Gulmi province of Nepal, is located in the foothills of the Himalayas and has been open for just over two year. There are 186 children being taught by four government teachers and four community teachers.

Initial teacher training and resourcing of the school has gone well and there is a particularly active school support committee. Current aims for the school include developing the curriculum to involve a greater level of learning through play, which also includes further development of the playground which was initially delayed during the school build due to a landslide.

We are Hile School’s first school partner, and we are raising money for its long-term running cost.
