We are celebrating further CREST award success this week. Elizabeth Goodwin (Lower Sixth) has achieved a silver award for her excellent project on telescopes. Through experimentation, research and design, she successfully built her own reflecting telescope.
William Howgill (Lower Sixth) has also been awarded a Silver award. He investigated the effectiveness of different crash barriers by building a model car and catapult system, then a variety of impact attenuators, including fitch barriers full of sand and water, Armco barriers and crash cushions. He produced a short video to show his assessors, which you can watch here.
