The Christmas trees and decorations are up around the School and we are approaching the end of term with a festive feel around the place. Many thanks to everybody for their continued cooperation with our amendments to the routines around the School, as we, of course, continue to keep the community as safe as possible whilst also being able to enjoy the many end-of-term festivities.
You’ll have read the letter from Mr Farrell outlining various upcoming activities and we hope to be able to share them with you, whether it be in person or virtually.
In assembly today, it was great to announce that we have raised over £3,000 through the Hairy Hiles Movember-style challenge for the UWS Hile School in Nepal. Well done to all of those involved and thank you to everyone who contributed towards it. I also handed out Shooting awards to some of our CCF cadets.
I took a moment to talk to the School about Dr Waheed Arian and his book, In the Wars. It is a wonderful read and an inspirational story about an incredible gentleman – I recommend it warmly and it will give us all a great deal to think about.
I wish you all the very best for this weekend and for an enjoyable last couple of weeks of term.
Best wishes
James Thomas
