Miss Peart-Price’s First Form Art students have been busy creating their surreal self-portraits this term, inspired by the artist Maria Rivans.
Maria Rivans is a contemporary British artist, known for her scrapbook-style collage aesthetic.
The process has involved students using their imagination, creativity and painting skills. They have carefully thought about the design layout and composition of their artwork pieces, selecting words and images that reflect their personality. Students have also been challenged to mix colours that are reflected in their reference photographs by using watercolour paint and adding highlights and shadows to their facial features to add a sense of depth.
Fantastic work, we are looking forward to seeing your Art skills develop next term.
