Year 5 Art Club has captured the call of spring in their mixed media masterpieces. They were given freedom of expression to interpret the word spring using a medium of their choice. Creatively, they rose to the challenge as they experimented with collage, texture, watercolours, and composition.
Colour and florals spring off their artworks and imbue a mood of vitality and warmth, along with a celebration of nature.
Having previously researched the impressionist art movement and some of its artists, the art club pupils included some pointillism techniques and embraced drawing en plein air.
It is wonderful to see Year 5 appreciating the vibrancy of spring and transferring this colourful vitality into eye-catching compositions that show that spring has truly sprung!
