Life's a big adventure at Sutton Valence Prep

Youngsters at the Preparatory School have enjoyed a lively and adventurous start to the new term, thanks to the installation of a £20,000 play facility at the Chart Sutton site.

The adventure playground was part-funded by a series of fund-raising efforts by the school’s Parents’ Association and partly by the school, which wanted to make use of a spare parcel of land near the swimming pool, for the older pupils.

Now, the children can burn off some of their excess energy at break and in the lunch hour, on an obstacle course, monkey bars, a climbing frame and a host of other fun play equipment.

Mrs Alexandra Brown, chair of the Parents Association, said: “It has taken a couple of years’ hard work by my predecessors to reach this point, but it has been well worth it and the children are thrilled with the new facility which has already been put to good use.”

The school is now considering providing a similar facility for the younger children.
